Position Title: Infection Control Nurse
Position Overview:
Your expertise in infection prevention and control principles will guide our efforts in maintaining rigorous standards that meet national recommendations and requirements. Join us in promoting a culture of safety and excellence in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infection Control Oversight:
- Conduct surveillance to identify healthcare-acquired infections, ensuring safe patient care.
- Utilize electronic medical records for infectious condition monitoring and reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting clinical staff and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide education on infection prevention and control for staff at all levels.
- Conduct rounds to evaluate compliance with infection control practices and regulatory requirements.

2. Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist senior and executive leadership with tasks and assignments.
- Participate in team activities and provide feedback to hospital administrators.
- Perform additional duties as directed to support hospital operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Master's degree in Public Health preferred.
- 3 years of relevant experience in an acute psychiatric hospital or similar environment required.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Montana or ability to transfer RN licensure from another state prior to first day of work.
- Must have or obtain Associate-Infection Prevention Control (a-IPC) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Must have or obtain Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 3 years of hire.

Special Requirements:
- Fingerprint check, background check, and driving history check required.
- Compliance with the Department's Safety Program and reporting of workplace accidents/injuries.
