Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technicianin Spartanburg. Our client is a food processing and packaging plant. The Industrial Maintenance Technicianis responsible for repairing food processing & packaging equipment and perform building repair and maintenance . RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN INCLUDES:REPAIR, INSTALL, AND ADJUST FOOD PROCESSING AND PACKAGING EQUIPMENT•TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT•PERFORM ROUTINE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE•RESPOND TO WORK ORDER REQUESTS IN A TIMELY FASHION•ADHERE TO ALL SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES•PERFORM OR ASSIST WITH GENERAL MECHANICAL AND BUILDING MAINTENANCE•PERFORM OR ASSIST WITH MINOR ELECTRICAL SUCH AS REPLACING PLUGS ON CORDS, CHANGING OUT MOTORS, ETC.•ASSEMBLE ITEMS SUCH AS SHELVES OR CARTS AS NEEDED Job Requirements include:
REQUIRED:

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
•
Good attendance & reliable transportation
•
Good attitude
•
Basic industrial equipment maintenance experience
•
Willingness to assist in other positions if needed
•
Ability to get along with others
•
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
•
"Temporary fix" skills
REQUIRED Experience :
•
Welding experience
•
Forklift experience
•
Light construction skills
•
Experience in a food manufacturing environment
