Full job description Description General Responsibilities: The AM Industrial Performance Head will be responsible to evaluate and identify the gap to Budget / Benchmark performance within the different sites in the AM Region overlooking the industrial performance variances (vs Budget and vs Benchmark) that have an overall impact on the results of the Region. The AM Industrial Performance Head will lead and provide support for the development of a road map to Turnaround and bring to the optimal condition the sites within the AM region. The AM Industrial Performance Head will set up governance reviews to ensure the actions and plans are being followed providing sustainability and progress on each site.
Job Responsibilities: Industrial Performance Analysis: Support and Coach the analysis of all the industrial performance Metrics. Material, Scrap, Inventory variance, Depreciation, Obsolescence, Inventory Level, Exceptional and Premium Freight in/out, External contractors, Depreciation, Digital Efficiency, COPQ & Manufacturing Cost. Help identify the gaps of the Industrial performance Metrics vs the Budget and Benchmark Highlight and prioritize action plans towards the improvement of the IP variances. Turn Around roadmaps: Standardize the process, formats and tools to be deployed within the AM region. Support the development of the action plans to improve the IP variances identified and prioritized. Provide tools, examples and Benchmark activities to improve the IP Performance of the AM region sites. Performance governance: Set up and lead the monthly and weekly governance review. Ensure follow-through action plans developed in each site from the AM region. Coach and support the AM Region sites during the governance reviews. Gather and consolidate in a summarized way the most important aspects. Continuous Improvement Support and Coordinate Kaizen & Jishuken workshops to train different people from the organization while improving the operational performance in the selected sites of the AM region. Support the initiatives around the 5s providing Benchmark processes and tools. Support the identified six sigma projects and transversalize within the AM region sites to maximize and capitalize the benefits. Plant Ranking program: Develop and deploy the plant ranking program. Consolidate with his team the information of the plant ranking on a weekly / monthly basis. Communicate to the region on a weekly / monthly basis the results of the Plant Ranking program. Define and provide the proper Recognitions and Challenges around the Plant Ranking Program People Management Designs, defines, launches and tracks training plan for function to ensure IP organization is well trained to meet the expectations of each position. Evaluate and Mentor team members. Develop help develop a succession plan for the position and positions below. Health Safety and Environmental Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy. Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant Health Safety & Environmental requirements. Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets. Knowledge of automotive Quality tools and Quality managements system Knowledge of IATF 16949 Proficient level of English Leadership Skills - Proven experience leading large groups Proven Experience implementing Lean tools and Industrial performance management. Solid knowledge Lean Manufacturing systems Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent)
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in production area
Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May be required to supervise the duties of others to perform the job responsibilities as designated by area/department management.
Working conditions: Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Have the ability to work 40 – 50 hours per week.
Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed.
Work Environment: Primarily in a professional business office with exposure to testing areas and periodic exposure to manufacturing environments.
