Core Responsibilities: · Promotes a culture of continuous improvement in the organization.
· Ensures that production schedules are met by deploying appropriate resources while managing labor costs at productivity standards set for the plant.
· Identify training needs for the department.
· Implements programs to improve employee operating performance.
· Identify and support efficiency improvements for the organization through procedural and/or systems modifications.
· Works in coordination with Q/A to introduce and implement quality standards.
· Communicate with management and internal departments to resolve escalated issues.
Departmental Work Responsibilities: · Coordinates materials are properly processed and prepped for later stages of processes.
· Champion of the FIFO initiative for materials received and staged. Critical thinker for processing multiple feed streams.
· Ensures that the team complies with all internal requirements and documents materials in accordance with ISO standards.
· Coach employees on job-related duties and goals.
· Keeps track of departmental data using Excel and online databases.
· Establishes and implements process improvements for the Production Line.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: · Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or related field preferred
· High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years of related industry experience required.
· Able to read and communicate in English.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Ability to work independently and as a team member.
· Proficient arithmetic skills including adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
Physical Requirements: · The ideal candidate is motivated and has high energy.
· Previous experience with Forklift operation is preferred.
· Ability to comply and utilize personal protective equipment based on work and area of work.
· Candidate must be able to lift, push, pull, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.
· The ability to perform work during prolonged periods of standing (up to eight hours) is necessary.
· Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion are also required.
