Position Purpose:
The In-Kind Specialist supports in-kind donations received by the organization with high level customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily opening and closing of the Donation Center, secure donations, throw away trash and upcycling Help with the day to day operations and logistics of In-Kind donations, including drop offs and pick-ups with the TNK Director Document in kind donations as needed, including item descriptions, quantities, value and donor information. Understand and communicate the NCCF Donation Process to all customers Collaborate with the TNK Director to assess NCCF program and school system in-kind needs and priorities to guide donation solicitation efforts effectively. Support the logistics of receiving, storing, and distributing in-kind donations at the NCCF warehouse. Support the Development Staff with volunteer groups with in kind donations Other duties as assigned. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualifications: High School or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred. Possession of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively through oral and written presentations. Strong customer service skills Ability to work independently to maintain office management procedures and function with a wide range of personalities among staff, volunteers and residents. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite An attitude compatible with the goals and purposes of the National Center for Children and Families. Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit, push, pull and lift and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. Employee is required to be able to lift at least 50 pounds. The employee is required to have a valid driver's license. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job require close vision working with a computer monitor. While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. While performing the responsibilities of the employee's job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the employee will encounter.
