Details of the offer

Performs product dimensional quality and dimensional management systems functions for launch and series production.
Coordinates daily work activities, problem-solving, and dimensional management.
Resolves pre- series and series dimensional quality product or process-related issues.
Responsible for the Geometric Integration of all Gen6 HVB derivatives within the organization.
Monitors quality indicators and implements corrective actions as required—feedback problem issues for lessons learned.
Evaluates and validates the geometric readiness of the HV Batteries by DOC and to report the Status to the Plant Project Leader.

Interfaces with all internal plant departments on dimensional status or problems.
Performs launch dimensional quality support and responsible for planning and implementation of new models in dimensional management systems.
Supports plant level complex problem-solving teams. 
Resolves product and process dimensional issues.
Performs continuous improvement of product dimensional condition and systems.
Monitors quality indicators and internal customer feedback for dimensional problems.
Evaluates new product development and planning with lessons learned, systems requirements and product manufacturability.
Drives proactive dimensional management activity and mindset.
Coordinates with QE and QMT function on dimensional quality issues.
Develops new and innovative technologies and equipment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness in accordance with the vehicle geometric validation.
Represents the interest and needs of Plant Spartanburg in the launch process by working collaboratively with the product lines, central technologies, and the vehicle plant to develop sustainable solutions to engineering designs and product requirements.
Coordinates training and skill development of the process engineers as well as the dimensional quality support associates.
Promotes the principles and values of Plant Spartanburg in daily activities and future planning.
Collaborates with process partners on Plant-wide PMP (Problem-Management Process), 8D, and CST (Cross-System Teams).
Benchmarks BMW group plants and implements best practices.
Operates with latitude for taking action or making decisions without supervision.
Works independently to carry out assigned project responsibilities. Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
BA/BS degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred);OR AA/AS degree in a technical field AND 2 years of professional manufacturing experience ( automotive manufacturing, metrology, and/or dimensional quality field preferred).OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional manufacturing experience (automotive manufacturing, metrology, and/or dimensional quality field preferred).
2+ years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive preferred).
1+ years of experience reading blueprints.
1+ years of CAD experience (CATIA preferred).
1+ years of product launch experience (preferred).
As applicable, per BMW training guidelines.
Valid drivers license in good standing per BMWMC LLC vehicle use program guidelines.
Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
Metrology or GD&T professional certificate (preferred).
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt training (preferred).
Blitz HV2 (preferred).
3+ years of Microsoft Office skills.
3+ years of strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) as proven through business application.
1+ years of organizational skills as proven through business application.
1+ years of problem-solving skills.
1+ years of experience in developing and understanding 3D alignment
schemes (preferred).
Basic German language skills (preferred).
