Commercial Metals Company is looking for a HVAC Technician to join the Maintenance team at our Steel Mill in Durant, OK! This position is responsible for ensuring all facility HVAC units and assigned auxiliary systems are operational by performing all maintenance duties, including maintenance and preventative maintenance functions. This individual will follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
What You'll Do Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics Monitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools Responsible for monitoring and maintaining installed equipment and systems for proper operation Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and chillers Intermediate knowledge of: HVAC controls, electrical schematics, motor theory, common electrical maintenance hand tools, and high voltage +480 Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration trade practices Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant and equipment HVAC systems: chillers, split units, package and appliance refrigeration systems What You'll Need Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures Ability to utilize precision measurement instruments Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and chillers Installs HVAC and Electrical equipment Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience, or minimum 3 years of HVAC experience in a heavy industrial setting Your Education High School Diploma or GED required We are Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune 500 company with a family feel that's already part of your life.
