Duties: responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems; coordinate with supervisors to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs; use equipment along with a variety of hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units; enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of university issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions; display team effort and dedication to the university by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the university requires; continually improve the efficiency of all equipment by maintaining a PM program; ability to act as lead man if the supervisor is out; perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by the University; requires working in diverse conditions; communicate with administration and supervisor and other duties as assigned. The HVAC position is physical and requires employees to regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.
Qualifications: high School diploma or equivalent required; EPA Certification required; 1-3 years of experience in commercial or residential HVAC service; must be well qualified in HVAC trade with experience in HVAC maintenance and installation; refrigeration knowledge preferred; valid driver's license with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI's.
