Position Description:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of daily operations for the HVAC, Johnson Control Metasys system, clean rooms, and refrigeration equipment. Give support to the utilities, mechanical, operations, production, quality and environmental groups/area increasing the reliability of all equipment and decreasing the corrective maintenance.

Perform installation, basic calibration, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting for all HVAC equipment, including commercial HVAC units.

Perform preventative maintenance on all refrigeration equipment.
·
Operation and maintenance of reciprocation compressors.
·
Schematic reading and control circuit troubleshooting.
·
Interact and communicate with all plant personnel and HVAC team members.
·
Write and retrieve maintenance work orders.
·
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities.

Maintain a clean environment.
·
Assist with other general facilities building maintenance related tasks.
·
Low Voltage certification.
·
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
Education:
·
High School Diploma or GED
·
Completion of a recognized HVAC Certification program
Experience:
·
Associate Degree preferred.
·
Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys program preferred.
Prior pharmaceutical, hospital, or clean room experience preferred.
Additional Preferences:
·
This position must provide hands-on support to all plant personnel in a 24/7 work environment and be on call to provide "over the phone" or "on site" support and direction.
Must be able to travel to all areas of the plant which may include walking, climbing various levels of stairs or ladders, at various floor levels in various buildings as well as the exterior of the building.
