Reporting directly to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading all human resources policies, procedures and programs to include the following functional areas: talent acquisition, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, organizational development, and employment. The HR Manager will work to support all employees by providing HR resources, resolving problems quickly, providing counsel and offering advice to help business leaders navigate potential challenges. This role includes coaching and influencing team leaders to make wise decisions compatible with sound human capital and business practices. The HR Manager will offer clear and objective alternatives and work with the team to help implement solutions.
ESSENT I A L D U TI E S A N D R E SPONSIBILI T I E S : Align human resource functions and offerings with organizational strategies by remaining well-versed in the most common and emerging issues in the field of human resources; contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to the organization related to strategic thinking and direction; establish human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives. Establish department priorities and ensure accountability for deliverables, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee retention, AA/EEO compliance and employee relations. Manage human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and coaching staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; designing systems; resolving problems; implementing change. Work with Accounting and Finance on financial strategies for human resources operations by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of variances. Support management by providing professional human resources advice, counsel, and decisions using strategies to align with organizational goals and culture. Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicate and embody organizational values. Ensure the organization stays in compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to employment and all aspects of human resources and help to ensure management adheres to these requirements, including advising management on needed changes or actions. Update job knowledge of industry best practices by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks and participating in professional organizations. Provide guidance to management regarding performance management. Develop and conduct employee and management training and professional development programs. Oversee worker's compensation and safety programs. LEADERSHIP Recruit, interview, select and hire humble, hungry and smart people Maintain quality results through continued training of competencies and performance assessments; ensure appropriate documentation maintained Develop and maintain HR staffing schedule, approve time sheets and PTO as appropriate Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing? new employee onboarding and? providing career development planning and opportunities Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members allowing for disagreement over ideas and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed Consciously create a? workplace culture consistent with Saving Sight's overall culture and emphasizes the stated mission,? vision and? values of the organization Formulate and execute strategies, programs, and initiatives designed to cultivate an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email and regular interpersonal communication Provide? effective performance feedback through the performance management process, employee recognition , rewards and? disciplinary action when necessary Interface with external stakeholders and serve as the subject matter expert for Human Resources Maintain departmental proficiency by monitoring workload of functional areas, proactively make operational adjustments as required Job Posted by ApplicantPro
