Job Description and Duties Anticipated Interview Dates: Virtual interviews are anticipated to be held the between June 26 – July 3, 2024. Telework Information: This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week .
The Operations Support Services Division, Emergency Management & Business Administration, Business Services Unit is currently seeking a Staff Services Analyst (SSA) to demonstrate initiative, dependability, solve problems with a solution-oriented perspective, and drive our CalPERS mission. Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst will serve as the Human Resources Liaison (HRL) and Administrative Support. Duties include but not limited to: Acts as OSSD Human Resources Liaison and assist managers and supervisors with complex personnel issues.  Works with Human Resources to resolve a variety of classification, recruitment, and hiring issues; performs position control by working closely with Personnel Management staff to monitor positions using reports through PeopleSoft.  Purchase, organize, and maintain office supplies for the division.  Acts as OSSD Recognition Coordinator by communicating reminders to recognize the efforts and contributions of OSSD team members.  Oversees the Notary Public program for CalPERS staff, renewing notary commissions, ordering notary supplies, and obtaining the notary public application package and notary public bond.
