Human Resources Generalist (Temporary Position) Location Austin, TX (Galindo area) : LifeWorks of Austin is looking to add dedicated and passionate Human Resources Generalist to our Human Resources team! The Human Resources Generalist supports administration of leave of absence process, assists in conducting full cycle recruiting, and ensures compliance with HR, agency, and funder requirements. The Human Resources Generalist provides high quality customer service to internal and external "customers" by delivering timely and professional support and results. This position is a 10-month temporary position and will offer hybrid scheduling. This full time, exempt position earns a competitive starting pay rate ranging from $64,596.83-$70,590.36 annually, depending upon experience, and is paid on a bi-weekly basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES Administers leave of absence program, including communicating with stakeholders, collecting necessary paperwork, tracking leave use, and ensuring safe return to work at the conclusion of the leave. Manages small recruiting portfolio to assist with recruiting needs, including performing phone interviews, coordinating interviews with hiring teams with candidates, checking references, extending offer, and closing out recruiting process. Facilitates exit interview meetings, compiles and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data, identifies trends, and shares findings with HR Manager. Facilitates monthly employee recognition process to support employee engagement, including the Gratitude Award process and announcements of birthdays and anniversaries. Tracks employee driver requirements and facilitates updating drivers licensing records in the HRIS. Generates reports and analyzes data for a variety of needs, including HR Metrics as well as internal and external requests for HR data. Assists in organizing staff events, including event communication, coordinating with vendors, and helping with event details. Assists with HR related projects, including cross department collaboration, monitoring deliverables and timelines, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress and challenges. Assists in maintaining employee records in human resource information system and hard files and participates directly in audits led by contract holders (DFPS, HHS, etc.); provides applicable documentation in timely fashion. Supports all other HR duties and functions as needed, working in close collaboration with the other HR team members. Keeps abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to HR. QUALIFICATIONS Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent. Requires 5 years of related Human Resources experience, or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in MS Office Suite, preferred intermediate level Excel skills. Experience with HRIS or HCM systems, preferably UKG.
