ABOUT THE ROLE  Amsted Automotive Group, Powder Metal Division in Beaver Dam, is looking for an energetic and highly motivated HR Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the HR Department's initiatives, including recruitment and onboarding for all new hires. This role requires a high degree of ethical standards, a keen eye for attention to detail and a strong desire to assist in the personal development/support for our employees.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Record employee information including but not limited to personal data, compensation, attendance, terminations, payroll, and benefits. Administer recruitment activities for exempt and non-exempt job vacancies including internal posting, advertising, applicant tracking, pre-employment screens, etc. Responsible for maintenance of confidential personnel files, personnel actions, and job postings. Support the Human Resources department in gathering and reporting information regarding compensation, survey data, exit interview, headcount, and other HR metrics. Assist employees with basic questions regarding payroll, benefits, and Human Resources policies and procedures. Process employment applications and assist in other new hire activities. Participate in new employee orientation for hourly employees. Maintain appropriate employee privacy and departmental secrecy at all times. Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees. Perform administrative duties: business correspondence, record keeping, special projects, employment verification, reference checking, filing system, etc. Answer & redirect all incoming phone calls to the main phone line. Greet all Visitors and ensure proper procedures are followed regarding sign-in, safety, non-disclosure agreement, etc. Assist HR Manager with the administration of various reports, presentations, and record-keeping data/metrics. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate Excel skills preferred. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to exercise discretion and a high level of confidentiality and personal integrity. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Highly motivated and capable of addressing issues with a strong sense of urgency. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail. Reliable and personable; enjoys working with diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first.
