IMEG Corp. is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Human Resources Compliance Specialist on our Equipment Planning team to work in our Rock Island, IL. The Human Resources Compliance Specialist will perform tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of IMEG's Human Resources department. These will include partnering with the Director of Human Resources on HR compliance requirements as well as the Workday team on regular data audits and reviews.
Principal Responsibilities
Maintains a solid understanding of HR regulatory and compliance guidelines in states which IMEG operates, and proactively makes recommendations for enhancements and/or process adjustments to ensure adherence to federal, state, county, and city regulatory HR compliance needs Prepares and submits accurate HR related compliance reports on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and bi-annual basis, including, but not limited to, EEO-1, Vets 4212, federal, state, and city Affirmative Action Plans, and state monthly and quarterly reporting Monitors and ensures timely HR compliance deadlines and reporting are met in for all areas of HR in all locations where IMEG maintains operations Maintains an HR compliance checklist of departmental compliance requirements, and checks in on a bi-monthly basis with key stakeholders on upcoming needs, items completed, and outstanding requests to ensure progress and deadline adherence are on-track Prepares quarterly HR compliance summary for HR Leadership Team and Executive Team Prepares and distributes quarterly revenue budget reporting for Executive team Reviews and keeps HR Leadership apprised on any minimum wage changes occurring by city, county, and state where IMEG operates or has active employees Responds to, in conjunction with support from other departments, annual Census reporting requests as well as other annual survey requests Oversees and guides document retention/destruction for HR Department Reviews and oversees the IMEG Career Ladders and realted job descriptions and the processing of all new job profiles created in Workday. Ensures proper coding and configuration setup, runs regular audits of information, and takes action to have discrepancies resolved in a timely fashion while also maintaining the job description library on Compass+ and in Workday Provides training, including preparing training materials and related documentation, to broader HR team on applicable compliance related programs, audit concerns, and upcoming changes within their respective area(s) Required Skills/Abilities
Strong organization and follow through-skills, ability to manage time and multitask Ability to effectively problem solve on own and provide solution-based recommendations to help move the business forward Trustworthy and confidential with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others including skill in active listening, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate Interest in learning new technologies and processes Advanced/Proficient in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Workday preferred (or knowledge of another HRIS) Self-starter, results oriented, and highly motivated Accurate and attentive to detail with a strong attention to data entry accuracy Ability to discern impacts of change Able to make decisions, solve problems, and think critically and analytically Strong ability to work successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong professional work ethic, team player and customer service skills Ability to use HRIS system(s) and data to effectively audit HR related information Education and Experience
Two years progressive Human Resources experience required, five years preferred; An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered for those that have a Bachelor's degree but less than two years HR experience Experience in the area of compliance, auditing, and/or data management preferred Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred IMEG Corp., an employee-owned corporation, is committed to investing in employees' futures through professional development programs and opportunities for career advancement.
