The Operations Supervisor of Associate Life is responsible for the direct oversite of onsite housing, housekeeping, and housing transportation including training, development, hiring, payroll, and budgeting. The Operations Supervisor of Associate Life will oversee the day-to-day operations of the dorms which includes ensuring maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness for our residents.
Supervises and trains all housing staff while also providing excellent service to associates residing in housing. Reviews and approves/denies housing applications. Coordinates travel to associate housing from airports, train stations, and bus stations for international associates. Coordinates activities and events for associate housing residents. Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all housing policies and procedures. Responsible for onboarding J1 students.  Ensures residents follow the Housing Safety Guidelines. Maintains inventory of housing issued items: Keys, key cards, etc. Consults with Area Manager to place supply orders for the facility. Provides counsel to housing staff and residents. Consults with Area Manager for termination decisions. Schedules team members according to staffing needs and budgetary constraints. Delegates and supervises projects as assigned. Report all building needs and repairs to Area Manager and enter all work orders into work order management system. Maintains accurate housing database to include room assignments, room availability, resident information, and move in and out dates. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. Human Resources experience preferred. 2 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred. Valid Driver's License Requried. Strong communication and public speaking skills. Strong knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Publisher  Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.  Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
