What We Offer This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work 20-30 hours per week and up to 39 hours per week based on need. The pay range for this position $21.47 - $27.00 and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver's 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On-call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. Location The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days. What You'll Do The Office of Human Resources ( OHR ) provides essential services and support to the 10,000+ employees and more than 40 departments and agencies that make up the City and County of Denver. OHR touches every city department and supports every employee, from the moment they file a job application, to the day they retire, and everything in between. The Office of Human Resources is seeking a Human Resources Administrative Coordinator to provide recruiting support for the hiring of emergency shelter staff working in the various shelters in the Denver area. The person selected for this role will be responsible for applicant tracking, screening applicants, scheduling/conducting phone interviews, candidate communication, HR system administration, and work collaboratively with various city agencies. The Human Resources Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the recruiting and hiring responsibilities for the emergency service staff. This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the recruitment process and ensuring an efficient experience for both candidates and hiring managers. The recruiting functions and duties are related to the daily operation of the shelter staff who support the needs of the guests. This role will work collaboratively with people from various backgrounds and experiences, and with people who are facing instability or may be in distress. As the Human Resources Administrative Coordinator, you will provide administrative support required to execute hiring processes: Work closely with the Denver Human Services hiring team to understand recruitment needs and priorities Execute targeted outreach strategies to attract candidates Review applications to identify relevant experience, skills, and qualifications Execute assigned operational tasks in Workday Provide a positive and professional candidate experience while conducting phone interviews, answering candidate questions, and setting expectations for the position Extend verbal offers to qualified candidates and relay important details regarding the pre-hire process and orientation Move candidates through Workday to ensure all system data is accurate Support new employee orientation Serve as a point of contact providing timely recruitment updates About You What You'll Bring We value diversity of ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, gender, religion, language, ability, and experience and exemplify this through the makeup of our team at all levels. Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: Previous experience in Talent Acquisition or a similar role Experience with Workday or other Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Collaborate with other city agencies, divisions, and stakeholders to fulfill hiring needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with focus on delivering an exception candidate experience Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting Required Minimum Qualifications Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III) Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements Application Deadline Please submit your application as soon as possible and no later than January 26th at midnight to ensure consideration.
