Commensurate with experience Qualifications: Associate's Degree Preferred Experience with Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, and FMLA. Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication. Ability to support in the development and implementation of programs. Knowledge of Human Resource operations and/or ability to learn them. Such alternatives to the above as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education. Job Goal:
To collaborate with the Director of Personnel in providing leadership and coordination for the area of Human Resources in order to accomplish the mission of the school district. .. Performance Responsibilities: Plan and support in coordinating interviews and assessments of classified and administrative applicants. Plan and support in a program for the hiring and assignment of qualified classified staff personnel. Supports the Director of Personnel in the development, coordination and implementation of classified personnel. Supports the Director of Personnel in creating annual in-service to district administrators necessary to maintain a consistent teacher and classified personnel selection process throughout the district. Serves as the liaison between the school district and institutions of Worker's Compensation, Marion Matters and insurance companies. Provides support to investigations for disciplinary hearings of certified or classified staff employees. Oversees the maintenance of all classified and administrative personnel records. Supports in coordinating evaluations of administrative and classified staff members. Supports in the development of the district classified staffing plan. Provides technical assistance in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department. Support in the initial development of appropriate personnel records and onboarding for all newly hired administrative and classified employees. Supports the Director of Personnel on the development and revision of personnel policies and procedures. Supports the Director of Personnel in professional development for employees related to the Human Resources Department scope of service. Supports in compliance with the district's equal employment opportunity provision and orders yearly fair labor practices posters. Support building principals and other administrative staff with matters related to the personnel function. Responsible for Workers' Compensation, Unemployment and Transition to Work Programs for the district. Oversees the Public Employees Risk Reduction Program annual reports. Responsible for the implementation and tracking of employee insurance details. Coordinates and/or attends monthly meetings of the Capital Area Safety Council. Oversees the district's annual regulatory compliance training program through Public SchoolWORKs. Monitors HQT for all instructional paraprofessionals. Conducts bi-weekly review of payroll and attendance or dock time for all certified and classified substi tutes used in the district. Completes district, state, or federal reports as required. Coordinates new employees on employee benefits. Coordinates sub teacher and classified employees absences and tracks scheduling of subs. Works in conjunction with fiscal to ensure proper salary amounts, placement on salary schedules, employee benefits, etc. Supports the Director of Personnel with the development and / or review of the professional evaluation process. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Exhibit professional behavior, emotional stability and sound judgment. Maintain confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships. Attends meetings, professional development and serves on staff committees as required. Interacts in a positive manner with staff, students and parents. Refer suspected cases of child abuse immediately to the appropriate child protective services/law enforcement agency as mandated by state law and Board of Education policy. Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude and conversation. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect district equipment, materials and facilities.
