Summary Under the supervision of the City Administrator, the intern will work with the Human Resources Specialist to update various human resource policies and upload these policies into a digital platform. This internship will primarily take place through the current school year, but may be extended as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Updating and creating general human resource policies and procedures listed below. Once these policies are created and
updated then the intern will upload the policies and procedures into an integrated software platform:
Employee recruitment, referral, posting, and outreach methods. Onboarding standards and procedures, including employee orientation. Personnel File Management Standardized and updated Job Descriptions for existing and new employee positions. Employee Development Program Performance Evaluations and Appraisals Employee Feedback Surveys Develop Compensation Ranges Standardized Compensation Increase Policies Offboarding Standard Forms and Feedback Procedures. - Working 20-30 hours a week to meet goals and job duties listed above.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Applicants must be a student in pursuit of a degree in Human Resources or a related field. Related work experience is a plus.
