Scope of the Position
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources Manager, Corporate Human Resources staff, and plant supervisors and managers. The Human Resources Generalist has responsibility for non-exempt recruiting, NHO, on-boarding and non-exempt payroll. The Human Resources Generalist works to ensure positive employee relations and an upbeat welcoming work environment.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist will mainly be responsible for the following
- Entering and updating the HRIS systems
- Non-exempt recruiting, NHO and on-boarding
- Non-exempt payroll
- Administering all employee benefits
- answering all incoming calls and directing the calls to proper person
- Positive employee relations
- Training
- Proper filing (electronic and paper)
- Administration of FMLS/STD/LTD
- Addition duties and task as assigned
Qualifications
Four-year College Degree preferred
Five years' experience in Human Resources
Ability to read, write and speak English effectively
Basic Mathematical skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and associates.
Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.
Strong analytical ability
Strong working knowledge of Human Resources Information System
Demonstrated good internal customer service skills
