Responsibilities:
- Oversee and update training assignments for new hires, such as Sexual Harassment and HIPAA training.
- Conduct employee surveys and assessments to enhance engagement and retention.
- Design and implement programs, policies, and processes for employee and organizational development.
- Plan and execute staff engagement events in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
- Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Provide guidance, mediate conflicts, and enhance communication to improve employee relations.
- Assist with recruitment activities and ensure timely filling of open positions.
- Manage the entire benefits enrollment process, including annual open enrollment and disenrollment.
- Compile and present HR metrics reports for audits and presentations.
- Handle bi-weekly payroll processing and support safety programs, including return-to-work and workers' compensation coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Ability to identify opportunities and develop thoughtful improvements.
- Strong understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles and the importance of fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills that lead to dynamic relationship building and collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Well-developed understanding of HR concepts and best practices, and the ability to apply them with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate to the HR Director for additional guidance.
- Previous experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably ADP.
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive pay range of $30.00-35.00/hour, depending on experience, as well as health, dental, vision, and other benefits while on assignment.
