HRIS Specialist Location Cloquet, MN : Location: FDL Tribal Center Supervisor: Director of Human Resources Closing Date: February 13, 2024 Rate of Pay: $56,063.84 to $63,071.82 per year General Summary: The HRIS Specialist will be primarily responsible for end user support, supportive maintenance, and on-going administration of all HRIS systems.
Position Responsibilities: Conducts data audit and in coordination with the Human Resources (HR) Director and/or Information Technology (IT) Director execute any needed action to across multiple HR Systems. Develops reports using various tools to meet business needs. Ensures data integrity and recommend solutions when problems arise. Presents to HR Leadership on findings and any deliverable action insights. Work in cross-functional teams to improve coordination efforts and to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data and manages multiple priorities. Provides data summaries and statistical analysis for use in strategic planning or decision making. In coordination with the HR Director, creates standard operating procedures and training materials. Analyzes HR and relevant business processes and makes recommendations for process improvement through the use of technology. Monitors and prepares an annual operating budget for the HR Department, in collaboration with the HR Director. Maintains organizational structures in HRIS including supervisory and locations. Maintains the HRIS in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs. Leads the specifications, development and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, and procedures for HR Users. Provides end user support and training. Provides support with adding and removing access for HR Staff. Travels to multiple work locations throughout the work day as needed. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality for financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary. Physical Requirements: Normal physical requirements. Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, computer science or closely related field; 4 years professional HRIS experience preferably with JD Edwards, Oracle, or People Soft, or a combination of education and experience is required. Certification in Human Resources Information Program (HRIP) or Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is preferred. Experience with troubleshooting technical issues and developing strategies to address problem areas is required. Experience in HRIS databases and technology is required. Experience in developing, testing, and analyzing HR software is required. Knowledge of word processing, databases and/or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
