Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process extended leave requests in accordance with state and federal laws, providing guidance to employees and supervisors throughout the process.
- Administer various benefit programs including paid time off and leave administration, ensuring employees have access to comprehensive benefits.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to compensation, leave, and benefits, providing timely and accurate information.
- Coordinate Open Enrollment activities, collaborating with benefits brokers to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Assist in developing and implementing processes for extended leave requests, including accommodations and return-to-work plans.
- Support the recruitment and hiring process by assisting with interviews, background checks, and employee eligibility verifications.
- Identify and recommend employee training opportunities to enhance skills and reduce company risk.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR and employment law, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, accounting, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an HR role, with a focus on benefits and leave administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
