The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role responsible for engaging in human resources activities to support assigned departments while facilitating alignment between department objectives, management needs, and employee engagement. Will be responsible for employee relations consultations and investigations, and provide advice about company and governmental regulations and procedures. Will facilitate leadership development courses and various team culture activities. Maintain thorough knowledge of assigned department operations, performance goals and metrics, workforce challenges, and unique culture to provide effective guidance to management on people decisions and processes that utilize current and innovative strategies.
New hires generally start between $85,470.00 to $115,00.00 and placement in the range is based on qualifications and professional experience. Skills and Abilities: Must have strong communication skills which aid in employee relations advice and counsel and relaying HR policies and procedures. Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in confrontational situations. Must have strong presentation skill in front of large audiences. Must be organized with the ability to maintain excellent records. Must be able to efficiently prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Must be a collaborative team player with great initiative. Ability to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, solid judgment, poise, maturity, personal integrity, and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict and model behaviors that support diversity and inclusion. Ability to build and maintain successful and supportive relationships regardless of a person's race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, cultural background, national origin, or any other component of diversity. Excellent ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and a positive disposition. Possess analytical aptitude and display critical thinking skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in HR or an equivalent combination of experience and education required. Minimum of five years' experience in a Human Resources role. Minimum of two years' experience responsible for dispute resolution, employee relations, and investigations required. Professional HR certification preferred (i.e. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) Experience with organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion work preferred.
Pay Range:
$83,795.00 - $125,692.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits beginning on the first of the month following one month of employment. Vancouver Clinic offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, health savings account, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and multiple supplemental benefits (voluntary life, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, legal services, etc.). We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
