Under general supervision, learns to perform professional duties associated with staff recruitment and placement at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Serves as a staffing partner focused on professional and/or custom class civil service vacancies. Coordinates employment activity for civil service classifications and serves a client base of colleges/units helping to fill professional vacancies. Serves as a liaison between client units and Illinois Human Resources Talent Acquisition.
In this role, you'll learn to:
Initiate vacancy postings and monitor the process;
Coordinate recruitment for civil service roles;
Cultivate partnerships to understand business needs;
Facilitate collaborative assessment and referral processes;
Enhance diverse candidate pools;
Conduct applicant reviews;
Conduct training sessions to educate and improve hiring efficiencies;
Advise on promotional opportunities;
Interpret and apply policies and procedures;
