Job Summary:The Houseperson/Public Space at SpringHill Suites Cheraw is a full-time, hourly hospitality/restaurant position located in Cheraw, South Carolina. This individual contributor role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas within the hotel. This includes the lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center, and pool areas. The Houseperson/Public Space will also assist with any guest needs and provide exceptional customer service.Compensation & Benefits:The Houseperson/Public Space position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $10 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly. Employees are also eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts at Marriott properties.Responsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center, and pool areasVacuum, mop, and dust all public spacesClean and restock public restroomsEmpty and dispose of trash and recycling from all public areasAssist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spacesMonitor and clean the fitness center and pool areasRespond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer serviceReport any maintenance issues to the appropriate departmentFollow all safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and employeesAssist with other tasks and projects as assigned by managementRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysMust be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods of timeKnowledge of safety and sanitation standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEEOC Statement:SpringHill Suites Cheraw is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
