Responsibilities
• Inspect hotel rooms, public area and linen room to ensure cleanliness and organization.• Schedule employees.• Schedule preventive maintenance & deep cleaning for hotel rooms.• Monitor inventories & order when necessary.• Keep track of all payables for the housekeeping department.• Support all hotel employees to help ensure guest satisfaction.• Conduct laboratory teaching opportunities in housekeeping for Hotel and Tourism Management students.• Daily contact with faculty, staff, students, OSU dignitaries, hotel guests, alums and donors.• Able to lift 50lb.
Requirements
• High School/GED• One year of related experience.• Ability to interact with faculty, staff, students and hotel guests in a professional manner.• Ability to exhibit tactfulness and friendliness.• Ability to handle and solve potential problems or situations efficiently.• Technical proficiency in microcomputer (word and excel preferred).• Ability to organize and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously.• One year of experience in a lead housekeeping role.
