Hotel Operations Manager Location Newkirk, OK : SUMMARY The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and functions of the daily business of the Property at which they are employed under the direction of the General Manager and Executive Management. The Operations Manager is accountable to plan, direct and coordinate tasks in the area of Departments: policies and procedures, internal control, records management, financial management, personnel management, contract review and administrative duties of the Property. Effectively lead the Management Team towards advancing 7 CLANS and the Tribe's business goals and optimize efficiency of structure and economy of operations while maximizing revenues for the property. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma, as well as established policies, procedures and controls. Essential Leadership Duties and Management Responsibilities: Responsible to lead the Management Team and oversee Department Managers in the successful operation and administration of all operating aspects in each department; provide leadership and demonstrate the ability to achieve high standards of performance; evaluate operations and make recommendations and/or adjustments as needed; establish short and long-term operational goals and monitor achievement of performance; assist with maintaining or developing departmental budgets and forecasts for future growth; identify and provide hiring, training, building teamwork and foster development of all team members.
Develop and ensure adequate levels of profitability, financial security, and proper planning for reserves, capital expenditures and address unforeseen emergencies; maintain internal controls and financial reporting of property operations.
Oversee and assist with all marketing and promotional development and plans designed to increase customer volume and revenues; attend major promotional events ensure high standards of customer service and promote positive guest friendly relations; provide safety and security of all team members and guests.
Monitors all relevant activities of the departments, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the organization are understood and enforced by departmental personnel.
Performs all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, objectives of the Otoe Missouria Tribe, internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Job Functions/Duties
- Manage and supervise all hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and aquatics.- Ensure excellent customer service is provided to guests at all times- Oversee the reservation process and manage room inventory- Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures- Monitor and analyze hotel performance metrics, such as occupancy rates and revenue per available room (RevPAR)- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability- Prepare annual budgets and monitor expenses to ensure financial targets are met- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary resources- Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff
Must be punctual and dependable in reporting to work as scheduled and completing assigned tasks directed by GM and or CEO.
Requirements HOTEL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED; Gaming experience is preferred. Position Qualifications :
Education: College Degree preferred.
Experience: Must have hotel management experience of five (5) years or more.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: --Must hold substantial expertise and qualified experience in hotel business and hospitality management for an extended period; preference will be given to candidates with executive level management experience in the Indian Gaming & Hotel industry.- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, housekeeping standards, and maintenance requirements- Familiarity with revenue management principles and strategies- Proficient in budgeting and financial analysis- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction- Knowledge of phone systems and phone etiquette in a hotel setting- Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
- Must possess exceptional leadership and decision-making ability; effective management skills in all areas of communication, organization, motivation and problem solving; excellent customer service and people skills;
- Must be well versed with capability to negotiate contracts and agreements, controlling costs and creating, developing and maintaining organizational charts and salary wage matrix of entire operations.
-Must demonstrate efficient experience with construction expansion and any future economic growth of the facility; ability to understand financial statements and common financial measurement tools to achieve and monitor financial thresholds.
- Knowledge, skills, and experience in the hiring, training, disciplinary, scheduling and supervision of staff, communications, decision making, problem solving, complaint resolution and resources allocation. -Read, write and speak the English language. Read professional publications, memos, emails, logs, newsletters and documents. -Protect the Company's value by keeping information confidential.
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with all other executive level management, other managerial and supervisory staff, and other Team Members. Work well alone or within a team.
-Exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities.
- Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, WORK CARDS Must be able to provide the following cards or work authorization documents: All documents required to show the incumbent is eligible to work in the United States. Required to pass a drug test. It is always the responsibility of the Team Member to have all appropriate document(s) current and valid.

The Team Member must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and push, pull or drag up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particulates, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment is mostly moderate and, on some occasions, loud. The Team Member may rarely be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with irate or difficult people. Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
