Host/Hostess

A Host/Hostess is the first person the guest sees and the last: you are the face of the restaurant! As a host/hostess, you will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other's success in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do: Greeting guests: The hostess is often the first person that guests encounter when they arrive at a restaurant or event. It is important for the hostess to greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome. Seating guests: The hostess is responsible for seating guests and taking into consideration any special requests or needs they may have. Managing reservations: The hostess is responsible for managing reservations, including confirming them and keeping track of any changes or cancellations. Answering phones: The hostess is often responsible for answering the phone and taking reservations or answering any questions that guests may have. Maintaining a clean and organized environment: Hostesses are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment. Managing waitlists: In a busy restaurant, the hostess may be responsible for managing a waitlist, ensuring that guests are seated as quickly and efficiently as possible. Providing menus and information: Hostesses are often responsible for providing guests with menus and answering any questions they may have about the menu or restaurant.
