JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Distribution Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Customer Service REPORTS TO: Customer Service Account & Logistics Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt DATE: February 2024 JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Customer Service Account & Logistics Manager, the Distribution Supervisor will provide customer service support to HSCL designated member along with overseeing multiple on-site employees. This position will maintain and enhance both internal and external customer relationships and ensure successful routine delivery of daily linen within the hospital.

Satisfactory attendance. Act as the primary point of contact for first line customer needs. Completes attendance line memos. Maintain union vacation calendar by reviewing and approving time off requests. Completes First Reports of Injury. Reports out daily to manager on status and concerns. Reports employee issues to manager. Conducts new employee training on processes and systems. First line leader for union employees' questions or troubleshooting of work processes. Ensures all processes are followed. Approve and process customer order changes/adjustments (PAR). Performs daily linen rounds at HCMC. Acts as back-up for call outs/PTO. Continuously communicates with all stakeholders (not limited to transportation and customs departments) and Customer Service Distribution Manager as appropriate through email, text, phone, in-person, and/or fax, etc. as appropriate to ensure transfer of knowledge and the communication of accurate business-related messages. Oversees initial training of all distribution staff and responsible for logging all necessary training documents. Will provide support as needed to all HSCL distribution accounts for any additional training or restructure of linen distribution routes. NON - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as required and/or directed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE Experience working in a hospital environment. Experience working in a union environment. Experience leading people or leading work. SKILLS/ABILITIES Customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Good understanding of safety. Detailed follow through on tasks. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Read/Write/Speak English Bi-lingual a plus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; move about the plant facility; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be frequently required to sit for long periods of time. Employee must be able to conduct customer site visits. Employee must be able to push/pull/lift to 25 lbs.
