What To Expect
As a Homologation Engineer, you will be responsible to plan the compliance confirmation of new vehicle designs from initial idea to production and present plans to Tesla leadership. You will collect and maintain technical data as a reference for evaluating compliance and provide vast regulation expertise to evaluate designs and test results. And you will engage regulation authorities to understand requirements and agree on expectations. What You'll Do Ensure all applicable safety and regulatory requirements are met. Stay informed of global regulation and upcoming revisionsProvide interpretations of current and upcoming legislations and clear with the legal team. Ensure Tesla's concerns and goals are considered in the government rule making commentsMonitor and inform Tesla colleagues of new or upcoming regulatory activities affecting vehicle safety through meetings and presentations. Provide assessment details of the rules and how they impact Tesla teamsResearch, collect, and analyze technical facts of potential safety and noncompliance issues and inform relevant teamsCreate and manage regulatory calendars including Regulatory Roadmaps, Homologation Trackers, and other tracking systems to ensure complete homologation requirements are comprehended. Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
