Responsibilities
• Assist patients with everyday living activities• Follow the Plan of Care to ensure safety and well-being of patients• Provide written and verbal reports about patients' condition• Exercise patients as needed• Establish a trusting relationship with patients and families• Maintain knowledge and compliance with state patients' rights• Facilitate social interactions and therapeutic conversations• Maintain secure environments for patients• Offer prompts to patients for toileting, eating, and other needs• Observe patients' medical health and physical/metal responses
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• Current state license• Complete minimum state-mandated training hours• Safe driving record with reliable transportation and car insurance• Pass a drug test and background check• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Free from health problems that may be injurious to clients or caregivers• Working knowledge of client-based equipment• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
