The High Jewelry Jewelerwill support all aspects related to JDIW projects.The position will focus on ensuring design and product integrity throughout the development lifecycle for all projects flowing through the JDIW.Responsibilities:This High Jewelry Jeweler has the skillset to support the development, construction, and fabrication of High and Fine Jewelry. The primary responsibility will be on physically translating complex design concepts from CAD, hand sketches, and direction from design into reality by physically constructing prototypes. Further ensuring design for manufacturability, product functionality, and integrity while adhering to project timelines and delivery date, as well as providing guidance and input to the other Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW) Jewelers as well as all JDIW teams. They will have experience working extensively in platinum and gold with all varieties of colored stones and diamonds.Provide timely and innovative solutions to complex mechanical problems at any point in the developmentEnsure all prototypes and models created are in keeping with Tiffany's best practices, Tiffany quality, and manufacturing standards and hit the project targetsCommunicate effectively - contribute to jewelry development brainstorm sessions, and provide updates on project status, issues, and concerns. Identify potential barriers to meeting completion timelines as soon as they arisePerform other duties to support departmental objectives and deliverables, including but not limited to setting and polishing work as assigned to support departmental objectives and deliverablesRequired Qualifications:Extensive bench jeweler experience working with high-end and one-of-a-kind JewelryDemonstrated knowledge and experience in soldering and using a laser welderExperience working with diverse materials (e.g., platinum, yellow gold, white gold, silver) and gemstones and diamondsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact cross functionaland on multiple staff levelsOrganizational, interpersonal, and partnership skillsProfessional work ethic compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, confidentiality, security, and attendanceMust be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and willing to change responsibilities within the department as needed by the businessExperience with performing and expediting jewelry repairsProficiency using computersHigh School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:Experience and understanding in polishingExtensive knowledge of diamonds and colored gemstonesExperience setting diamonds and colored gemstonesThe hiring range for this position ranges from $38.25- $51.75per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates relevant skills and experience.
