Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and more. Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other construction team members.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.
Perform site preparation tasks including grading, trenching, and excavating.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and job progress.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
