Responsibilities
• Lay pipe for underground storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains• Perform daily checks on equipment and report defects• Coordinate with concrete and/or pipe crews• Perform tasks such as grading trenches, moving materials, and erecting structures• Ensure safety processes and quality of work• Perform regular repairs and maintenance• Comply with company policies and report hazards or issues• Meet quality and performance requirements• Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis• Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
Requirements
• 1 year minimum experience operating excavator, skid steer, and bulldozer• Experience with cutting grade and operating equipment around pipe• Experience with pipe laying• Construction background of 1 year minimum• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination• Good verbal and written communication skills• Experience with cutting trenches/slopes• Grading and excavation experience• Ability to use good judgement and act independently• Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Key Skills Needed
• Experience operating excavator, skid steer, and bulldozer• Knowledge of reading blueprints• Cutting grade and pipe laying experience• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination• Good verbal and written communication• Ability to use good judgement and act independently
