Responsibilities
• Operate various types of equipment• Inspect and maintain trucks and equipment• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment• Follow safety and housekeeping procedures• Avoid potential hazards and obstructions• Communicate with supervisor on production and safety• Drive machines onto truck trailers• Identify and report material and equipment usage• Repair and rebuild railroad track• Perform track maintenance, repair, and installation
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED• Technical school or apprenticeship program preferred• Experience reading and understanding instructions• Previous railroad maintenance experience preferred• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipment• Valid California driver's license• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary qualifications
