Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic

InfraHire is looking for an Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic in Sterling, VA Job Summary:
1. Position: Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic
2. Location: Sterling, VA
3. Responsibilities include implementing preventative maintenance programs for heavy-duty construction and paving equipment.
4. Ensure all equipment and machinery are in good working order.
5. Prepare and manage lists for maintenance and spare parts.
6. Responsible for stock control of equipment spares, consumables etc.
7. Maintain and secure work tools.
8. Manage and coordinate junior equipment mechanics as required.
9. Travel between project locations within the US as required.
10. Night shift working within a live airfield environment may be required.
11. Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Construction Equipment Mechanic and/or Diesel Mechanic. 1
2. Experience with asphalt paving and production equipment preferred.
13. Electrical and computerized control system troubleshooting experience would be a plus.
14. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
15. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain relevant security clearance for working on restricted airfield locations.
16. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and acknowledge InfraHire's drug policy which includes random testing.
17. Must have or pass OSHA-10 within 1 month of start of employment.
