Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Estimator to provide accurate estimates and cost projections for a variety of construction projects. This position requires a professional with a background in roadways, civil, paving, asphalt, concrete, and utilities who will ensure that all projects stay on budget and are completed within established timelines.
Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed, accurate cost estimates for all construction activities. Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, scope of work, and other documents to determine all necessary materials and labor. Evaluate subcontractor bid documents and negotiate cost-effective contracts with vendors and subcontractors. Evaluate industry trends and averages to provide accurate cost estimates. Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and project teams. Track project costs against original estimates. Monitor progress and prepare regular status updates. Update and maintain estimating database. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in estimating for Heavy Civil construction projects. Strong understanding of roadways, civil, paving, asphalt, concrete, and utilities. Proven track record of meeting deadlines. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-aided estimating systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
