Title: Healthcare Data Analyst

Program: Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA)

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Program Overview:

The Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Department designs, implements, and manages Project Renewal's systems of performance measurement and management, quality assurance, and quality improvement. PEQA's objective is to enhance the agency's ability to achieve its mission by developing and facilitating processes that measurably improve the quality and effectiveness of our services and operations, and to support agency leadership in managing towards high performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Healthcare Data Analyst position reports to the Director of Performance Measurement & Monitoring and collaborates with healthcare programs to develop systems and tools that enhance program effectiveness and to facilitate continuous quality improvement efforts. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support the analytical needs and outcome metric development across all aspects of healthcare services to support healthcare integration initiatives, program planning, development and expansion of telehealth, and other ad hoc requests that require data and evaluation insight
Conduct in-depth and meaningful analyses using clinical and nonclinical data to evaluate clinical quality, health outcomes, utilization, service integration, and clinical revenue
Collaborate with key stakeholders across healthcare leadership, clinical staff, and IT on the design and development of new reports and dashboards to support workflow efficiency and to ensure that healthcare staff across all settings have the information they need to make decisions
Use querying tools to develop and maintain data models for recurring data monitoring reports and dashboards in PowerBI to meet various needs, such as visit volume reporting, patient demographic data, and claims/payment monitoring
Lead development of data quality monitoring tools and work with program supervisors and staff to improve data access, data quality, and workflow efficiency
Aggregate, analyze, and generate insights from consumer feedback surveys and focus groups, to evaluate quality of services and identify opportunities for improvement
Provide coaching, support, and training for healthcare staff in use of interactive reports and dashboards for performance measurement/monitoring, and support other capacity building activities around data integrity, quality assurance, evaluation, and workflow management
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, experience with data management, knowledge of relational databases
Expertise in electronic healthcare applications (eClinicalWorks [eCW] preferred), with working knowledge of clinical documentation and healthcare coding concepts
Excellent communication skills to translate complex topics using non-technical terms to staff at all levels
Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with excellent project management and organizational skills
Experience with data visualization, information design, and workflow design
Master's degree in a related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years' experience in healthcare, human services, program evaluation, or related field
All newly hired Project Renewal staff must provide verification of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
