Healthcare Accountant

A leading critical access hospital located in west Texas is now seeking an experienced Healthcare Accountant to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This critical access location boasts 20 inpatient beds and offers a full spectrum of acute care services. For nearly a century, this organization has offered exceptional patient care services in a welcoming and safe environment. This location currently offers a number of services including cardiovascular, emergency, imaging and laboratory, surgical, respiratory, and rehabilitation services.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Healthcare Accountant is responsible for managing affiliated bank accounts, calculates monthly expenses, maintains balance sheet schedules, investigates and records adjustments, and ensures compliance with GAAP. Other responsibilities include reviewing general ledger coding made by Accounts Payable teams, serves as a resource in absence of the Accounts Payable leader, assists in preparation of financial statements, assists with annual audits and cost report, and supports all needs of the CFO.
