Responsibilities
• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units• Monitor and order supplies• Answer patient call lights and elevate patient needs to nursing staff• Assist with managing orders in the electronic health record• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff• Serve as a resource to the healthcare team• Participate in continuous improvement activities• Anticipate and respond to team requests and patient needs
Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date• Completion of HUC post-secondary program or HUC Certification preferred• Certified Nursing Assistant on State of Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry preferred• 12 college credits or high school diploma/GED with nursing assistant training• Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment preferred• Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills preferred• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred• Proficiency with EHR systems, EPIC preferred• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills• Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays• Patient care skills, knowledge of infection control and safety procedures• Requires independent judgment, motivation, accountability, flexibility, and compassion
