Job purpose
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, perform all duties relative to health.
Care for students health needs, direct and coordinate all staff wellness programs, and supervise the
corporation's LPN staff
Duties and responsibilities
* Document and record all student immunization records and provide all required reports to the DOE.
* Coordinate and provide hearing and vision screening for students.
* Oversee and provide information for parents as required by the DOE.
* Create rotating schedule of coverage with LPN for all 3 Lakeland School Corporation buildings.
* Assist and observe students who report to the clinic.
* Oversee and coordinate the corporation's staff wellness committee.
* Be the AHA Trainer for the corporation.
* Provide continuing education for LPN staff
* All other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications include:
* Education
Bachelor's degree in nursing
* Skills
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of school employees or parents.
Mathematical Skill:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Abilities
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Other Skills
Must be proficient in the use of computers for various office applications. Ability to type accurately at a minimum speed of 50 words per
minute. Employee should also be able to use the machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of
those commonly associated with this type of work, i.e., copier, calculator, postage meter, laminator, binding machine, check folder, and other
equipment as made available by the school corporation.
* Professional Certification
Indiana Registered Nurse License
Licensed AHA Instructor, or willing to obtain.
* Experience
2 - 5 years in a nursing position.
