**Entity and activity description**
The GM&T WBU delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth.
To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.
As a player of the deep tech sector, GM&T commercializes technologies dedicated to Space, Aerospace and scientific exploration. GM&T also supplies gases for players in of the maritime sector and provides logistics for cryogenic transportation by sea of value added molecules, such as helium.
GM&T employs 1,800 people world-wide and generated a 2017 revenue of 372 million.
**Job Responsibilities**
* Respond to safety concerns and safety alerts in a timely manner.
* Lead accident and incident investigations to establish root cause(s.
* In partnership with the plant Director, ensure appropriate corrective action is taken when safety hazards exist.
* Perform day to day risk assessment & mitigation through Behavioral Safety Visits (BSV), Safe Work Permits (SWP), Pre-Job Planning (PJP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Safetstart, Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR).
* Manage emergency response plans for the facility, including necessary drills to access compliance and understanding among employees.
* Conduct monthly Safety meetings for each plant site.
* Manage Health & Safety program for both manufacturing sites (Newport, DE & Woburn, MA. Travel to manufacturing and field operations sites will be required on a regular basis.
* Provide the management team with Health & Safety metrics regularly
* Maintaining the current Health & Safety procedures in Intelex by reviewing and updating during their review cycle.
* Support Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Manager on an occasional basis with related tasks.
**Qualifications & Competencies**
**Required**
* Bachelors degree in industrial safety/hygiene, occupational health or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years experience with increasing responsibilities for Health & Safety management.
* 3+ years experience performing Health & Safety audits
* 3+ years experience managing Health & Safety program
* Experience writing technical business policies, procedures, and reports
* Good knowledge of employee Health & Safety training requirements
* Experience in evaluating and improving programs
* Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times.
* Experience driving and managing change
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good computer skills with strong familiarity with virtual communication tools, data sheets and documents.
* Strong analytical skills
* Very well organized in documentation and communication.
**Preferred**
* Experience with Environmental & Regulatory compliance requirements preferred
* Certification in ASP or CSP or CIH or CHMM or commensurate work experience.
* Previous work experience in the manufacturing, chemical and or pharmaceutical industries
**Additional Information**
**Working Conditions**
* The responsibilities of this position will be performed on site for both Manufacturing and field operations locations.
* Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
* Prolonged periods of walking the floor or sitting at a computer desk as per the tasks requirements.
* Role will require periodic travel 25% of the time to support the satellite location
