Experience:  Prior experience preferred but not required
Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Weekend Shift, Day Shift OR Night Shift
Pay: Starting at $25/hr
ProRecruiters  is seeking a  Header Fitter Welder to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description: Position, align, and fit components together and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding Set up welding equipment for the type of material being used Hammer wedges and drift pins Grind rough edges, surplus weld, or scale, using a portable grinder Position and turn clamps, and bolts using hand or wrenches Position work pieces manually or by using overhead or jib cranes Straighten warped or bent parts with a straightening press Correctly fit and weld fabricated and forged components to assemble header components  Position Requirements: Ability to read blueprint reading for layout Proficient with a cutting torch and/or plasma cutter Knowledge of shielded metal, gas metal, and/or gas tungsten arc welding processes Must be proficient in reading and the proper execution of measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, and levels Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, work on–site, and work possible overtime ProRecruiters  does not just connect you with a job; we offer a Professional Mentoring & Education Program to help you be great at your job, love it, and grow.
