Position: Head of Sales
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to oversee and manage our sales operations with a focus on the Satellite Communications market. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Satellite Communications or equivalent industries. Responsibilities include strategizing to meet sales targets, nurturing client relationships, and evaluating pricing strategies to maximize product profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
Communicate sales goals effectively, keeping C-level executives informed of progress.
Foster enduring relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and needs.
Stay abreast of industry trends and landscapes.
Present value propositions convincingly through presentations and proposals.
Monitor shifts in account strategies and budgets.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Sales and Account Manager, ensuring efficient team performance.
Reporting Structure:
The Head of Sales reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and the Executive Team.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
Ability to handle Department of Defense (DoD) budgets and forecast bookings.
Strong knowledge of Satellite and Cellular Communications.
Familiarity with the US DoD purchasing process.
Travel:
Approximately 60% travel expected, primarily within the Continental United States (CONUS).
Education:
Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Business Administration, or related fields. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
Previous role as a Senior Sales Manager preferred.
Proven track record of leading sales teams to achieve growth and revenue targets.
Experience analyzing market data to develop actionable strategies.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
Proficient in drafting reports and delivering presentations.
Analytical Skills:
Strong research and data analysis abilities.
Understanding of strategic and marketing concepts.
Familiarity with marketplace models and business opportunities.
