Position Overview: As the Head of Growth Marketing at client, you will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives to drive user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve key business objectives and hire your team as needed. As a small company, a well-qualified candidate can also implement marketing strategies. MUST HAVE Domain match: Client's product is for web application experiments. Ideal domain from Great: companies that built feature flag (LaunchDarkley ) or experiments testing (Mixpanel, Amplitude ) Good: developer products like Cloud (AWS ) and database (MongoDB ) Not ideal (slight negative) but will consider for exceptional candidates Mobile SDK (tend not be experts in web application) Gaming SDK (tend to more focus on performance) Sold to non-developers such as marketing (Hubspot) or Sales (Salesforce) Blockchain is a yellow flag, not showstopper NO: B2C only (very different growth channels) Startup experience: Ideally have recent high growth startup experience. (include evidence in write up) Not a showstopper but a handicap. Must have strong desire and evidence that they can be very successful and fast-growing changing company (only desire is not sufficient). No recent startup experience indicates that they may not be most familiar with modern newer technologies if they have been working at enterprise Fluent English and good communication skills MUST NOT HAVE Job hopping, short stints ( Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth marketing strategy to drive user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Oversee and/or execute our multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and more. Use event-based behavioral triggers within the product and the website to effectively reach and retarget users, prospects, and customers and get them to take action to improve acquisition and retention. Collaborate with product, sales and other teams to optimize conversions and engagement across the funnel: from SEO, SEM to landing pages to lead generation and conversion Develop a strategy and framework for product launches: Identify the proper channels and sufficient segmentation for the appropriate campaign. Develop a pipeline and backlog for growth experiments within the product and across marketing channels. Validate hypotheses by testing audience sources and segments, creative, and messaging as well as optimizing onboarding and parts of the funnel, and working with developers as needed. Use data-driven insights and analytics to measure campaign performance, identify areas for optimization, and drive informed decision-making. Eat our own dog food by a/b testing everything in the funnel from campaigns to comms to segmentation to landing pages to pricing Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track ROI to ensure efficient use of marketing investments. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or similar experience. We are looking for at least 4 years of growth marketing experience. Have a track record of driving user acquisition and revenue growth, ideally in similar engineering-focused, open-source, SaaS, or developer tool B2B companies. OVERVIEW APPLICATION Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, managing, and developing high performing teams. Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms. Excellent analytical abilities, with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions. Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, able to develop innovative marketing strategies and campaigns that resonate with target audiences. Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels. Passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and driving results in a rapidly evolving market.
