Tatnall invites applications for the position of Head Coach, Girls Basketball. This paid, part-time position reports to the Director of Athletics. Qualified candidates will possess relevant basketball coaching experience emphasizing character-based personal development. We seek to hire someone with a strong character, an in-depth knowledge of the elements of basketball, and an ability to effectively communicate with high school student-athletes. Ideal coaching candidates should have experience coaching at the high school, club, and/or college level. An appreciation for the role of Basketball and athletics in the broader mission of the Tatnall School is expected.  
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Organize and run effective practices for the program Attend all games and practices while utilizing positive coaching techniques Learn and adhere to rules specific to DIAA & DISC competition   Communicate clearly and consistently with student-athletes, parents, and school administration Evaluate athlete performance and provide real-time suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivation Model inclusion when welcoming new athletes, regardless of skill level or experience Act as a role model and leader at all times, gaining the respect and trust of the student-athletes, parents, and coaching colleagues Advocate for deserving players eligible for postseason awards/accolades and collegiate scholarships.  Attend district and state coaches' meetings as required Work with the Athletic Department to organize: Scheduling Transportation Program short-term, long-term, and annual needs. Equipment/uniform inventory and distribution Solicit, hire, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches in a manner commensurate with athletic department policy and vision  Evaluate, break down, and review film Monitor and run sport-specific social media and participate in Athletic Department campaigns. Actively participate in the admissions process. Required Experience, Degree, and Skills: Must have a bachelor's degree Prior years of coaching or athletic experience are preferred Organization and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude toward students, staff, and faculty Interested candidates should electronically submit a cover letter and resume to:
