Hardware Test Engineer

Position Summary Responsible for the verification and validation of system level requirements and product expectations. Testing will include a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems, with a focus on electrical and software activities as they relate to vehicle performance, charging and autonomous functions. The Test Engineer – Electrical and Software, must possess a passion for hands-on product development, testing and problem solving. Position Responsibilities Work with cross functional teams to develop and document test procedures Meet with development teams to review specifications and requirements Create test approaches and manual test cases for lab and vehicle testing Perform a variety of test activities including test fixture design and fabrication Generate test data and results as well as deliver results to cross functional teams Maintain test equipment and ensure lab areas are kept clean and organized Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or other Engineering degree with relevant industry experience Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well independently and with a team Ideal Candidates Will Also Have Previous experience with National Instruments equipment Working knowledge of automotive standards and best practices Orange EV is an Equal Opportunity Employers and seek diversity in candidates for employment.
