IBM is seeking a Process Engineer for a position at T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of metal and dielectric thin film materials science, and hands-on experience with semiconductor wafer processing including growth of thin metal and dielectric films, surface preparation for thin film deposition and materials characterization methods for thin films. The Process Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development of processes and fabrication technologies for novel computing device prototypes and for monitoring and maintaining process equipment in an advanced prototyping environment. Additional critical requirements: ability to analyze and interpret process data, to present findings in technical review meetings, and to interact with internal clients and interdisciplinary expert teams in order to understand needs and develop timely and creative solutions.
