Job Overview: Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife Foundation is seeking a dynamic and driven Special Events & Sales Manager to join our team! This individual is responsible for selling and meeting with guests who are interested in booking group tours or special events at all foundation properties which include Wonders of Wildlife, Dogwood Canyon Nature Park and Top of the Rock Osage Heritage Preserve. This person will also coordinate and direct the execution of group tours and special events and will be working in the Springfield, MO corporate office.
Primary Functions Process inquiries for group tours, special events, weddings, or other functions at foundation properties (phone calls, on-property site tours of facilities, emails, and website inquiries) promptly with documentation. Meet with guests and conduct site tours of facilities and/or other foundation properties. Negotiate and prepare contracts for tours, special events, food and beverages and/or other add-on services for foundation properties with no pricing or contractual changes made without documented change authorization from supervisor and/or directors. Contract administration to include event entry into CRM and/or ticketing program, contract signatures and initial deposits, Banquet Event Orders, Facility Management Reports for all departments, Day of Schedules, deposit and payment reminders, final bill and all client collections. Facilitate setups for event third-party vendors, food and beverage services, and guest transportation within the park to make sure that all details agreed upon meet or exceed guest expectations. Prepare weekly and monthly event management and sales reports to be used for department coordination. Prepare marketing information for annual venue, food & beverage menu and advertising materials. Represent Foundation at approved and assigned trade shows, FAM tours and events. Other administrative or operational duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies. Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime. Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business. Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties. Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.
