Responsibilities
• Manage emails and effectively communicate with Group Fitness and other departments• Prepare an effective and unique 50-minute workout for all fitness levels• Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to set up equipment and music• Create and maintain a playlist of appropriate music for each class• Greet participants with friendliness and learn names• Sign participants into the class and follow no-show charge procedures• Ask participants for injuries or limitations and make necessary modifications• Lead workout with energy and motivate class participants• Make corrections to participant form and end class on time• Teach participants to put away equipment and ensure cleanliness of the room
Requirements
• Group fitness certification or CPT required• Barre or Pilates certification preferred• CPR or first aid certification• Must have 3 months of instructing experience in the past 6 months• Physical fitness required to participate in classes and demonstrate exercise techniques• Communication skills to explain exercises and motivate participants• Extremely dependable and rarely require a sub for classes• High energy and enthusiastic• Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology, and training principles• Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and music incorporation
